This was my first time at Node Court and I went with a friend (who I'm in a bubble with) we've done a few explorations together. I loved it, I would've loved to have got to the top of the tower but I didn't fancy risking it.
Node Court used to be a dairy but became offices for a tech company called HFX.
Node Court was built in 1928 by Maurice Chesterton for the American businessman Carl Holmes. The design has its roots in the Picturesque revival and was probably inspired by Marie Antoinette's dairy in 'Le Hameau', Versailles.
As you walk through the main entrance you walk under a big arch with 2 single storey wings , 1 each side. On opposite side of courtyard is a 2 storey cottage with timber frame balcony, there is also a large 3 storey tower with a circular pyramid roof. The circular courtyard acted as turning space for milk lorries. It resembles contemporary expressionist buildings in Holland.
Node Court was / is a Grade II listed building and unfortunately became a victim of an arson attack in 2013, no one was killed or injured. It was estimated it would cost £3 million to put right.
