The South Island Line is an under construction extension to Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway network.
Broadly speaking it is a 7km tunnel linking the main city to the currently disconnected south side of the island between Admiralty and South Horizons.
I've been into here a couple of times now, first with Keitei and more recently with FB. It's interesting to see how much the work is coming on and also to note that there looks to be space for clearance even when the trains start running here. It's a very live site currently, there have been workers driving through the tunnels on both visits, the first time we had to hide under another truck as they drove past us about 10ft away.
More detail can be found here - http://www.mtr-southislandline.hk/en/key-information/summary.html
As I've no idea about the legal prospect of rail trespass out here, not to mention the fact that I'm a long way from finished with this, I'll keep it NP for now.
