Brief History
The official opening in February 1909 marked the start of eight decades for this school but was forced to close in 1990, the site lay empty and neglected for two years until the Kings school foundation bought it for its new girls division.
The King's schools 2020 development plans are designed to close the two existing school sites in Macclesfield and open a new single site in Prestbury. The development plans involve off the two existing sites for housing development to fund the new school site.

The Explore

A nice evening explore, after scoping the place out and finding where the on site security was set up camp at we decided to try our way in around the back over a neighboring field. After trying a few doors and windows we were in easily enough, we managed to get a good luck around most buildings apart from a small one that was right next to the security hut which we decided wasn't worth it.
we were there for the whole evening with no problems, even the nosey neighbors that saw us didn't bother to call anyone. Since i was last here a few people that have tried have told me its sealed good and the security are a lot more active now.

Lovely report,

Literally round the corner from my house and as beautiful as the place is, I have no desire to want to explore it,

Plus, the only bit left is the front original building albeit shuttered up now.

M.
