some info from google
MALDON’S old police station is now on the market with property consultants Kemsley LLP selling the building for more than £700,000.
The police station on West Square in the town closed on July 31st 2017, with the force’s new base opening at the district council offices on Princes Road.
The Standard reported in September that a Freedom of Information request revealed that the value of the station, which was fully owned by the Police and Crime Commissioner for Essex, exceeded more than £400,000.
However, Kemsley have priced the building at £700,000 or more, and have welcomed conditional and unconditional offers on the building.
Essex Police previously claimed the funds freed up from the move, and those generated from the sale, will go into helping police establish a more visible presence in the district.
The building consists of individual rooms with offices, front counter area, interview rooms, locker areas and stores.
The building was gifted to the people of Maldon in 1912 by the owners of Oakwood House on the basis that it be used as a police station.
this is all i can find on this place
The explore
after reading a article in a local paper saying they we struggling to find a buyer for this place i put it on the group chat and the rest of the crew were game
arriving on site early one Sunday morning we headed strait round the back.
we couldn't believe our eyes a open door propped open with a fire extinguisher (that was easy)
although the building has been cleared out there was lots to see
was a vending machine still full of out of date sweets
the custody suite was mint even the lights still worked
even found the cell keys
this place was in great condition and untouched
after an hour or so undisturbed we left shutting the door behind us to save it from the chavs
turns out there was a open day for potential buyers the day before our explore so they must have forgot to shut the door
