History
This swimming pool was built in 1967, and at the time, was one of the biggest in the area. The complex was closed down in October 2008 for minor renovations, and was supposed to reopen early in 2009. However, the contractor found asbestos while renovating the indoor facilities. The city council did not have the funds for a complete overhaul of the building, and decided to close it down permanently.

Overview
The site is still in really good condition. The only exterior signs of neglect are the muddy pools (crawling with tadpoles and toads) and the weeds invading the terrace. The place has obviously been visited before, but the local explorers have kept it in a good state. There was no trash, no graffiti and no traces of vandalism. Overall, it was a was a fun explore for a beginner. Now for the pictures …
