Seen this bridge many times from the other side of the docks.Since, we was visiting Hanson Aggregates, which is situated just in front,we thought we would take a closer look.
It was quite a surprise to discover a building containing a control room and rest room.Unable to find any more information on it but there are 2 identical bridges in the other docks close by.
It is situtated between Nelson dock and Collingwood Dock and a steel rope connected to an motor, pulls the bridge via a centre pivot into position.
