new to urbex any tips?

hi, so I'm new to urbex I'm 19 and this is something me and a few friends have been wanting to do for years now but only just got the balls to do it. just looking for any tips on : what to wear, bring ect. or anything else you wish you knew when you started just even the simplest things will be appreciated. thanks in advance

One thing I'd say is, try and get into the habit of always having a torch with you; a habit I need to get into myself lol. There's been a few times I've randomly stumbled upon an abandoned place & I haven't had a torch; not always easy exploring a bando without decent illumination.
