This drain couldn’t have been easier.
It’s just blatantly asking to be explored and is just off a public footpath by a main road.
Initially, the 7ft RCP tunnel doesn’t appear to be anything special, but after 100 yards or so this drain begins to get interesting.
The amount of shape changes and features makes Red Barn a bizarre but fun explore, with some sections 12 feet high and others formed from crappy 4 foot RCPs.
The impression I got was that this drain goes on a very long distance, but I turned around when the height dropped below 4 foot.
Whilst journeying up the drain, we suddenly experienced a deep thunderous sound which must have been a train passing above us.
Anyway, rather than me waffling on, the pictures are better off doing the talking:
Interesting side channel, but too stoopy for my back!
Finally, the outside world again - like looking through a keyhole!
