After 2 fails this morning I was at a loose end by lunchtime, then I saw Killrob’s report and headed off to Northampton for a daytime look. Cheers Killrob. 
Brief history stolen from the same report - Built in the 1970's the Northampton Sorting offices have been empty since a fire in 2003. Planning permission has been granted for a supermarket so it's due to be demolished.
It’s a big place and as far as I saw it was cleared of all the day to day stuff by the Royal Mail with “just†the fixed machinery left behind.
Just....
..conveyor belts covered with polythene
…signs, lots of signs
…control panels
...70's office ceiling. Reminded me a bit of the TARDIS. (Tom Baker’s one that is)
I really struggled to get my canon to focus in the low light in the plant room.
Definitely worth a visit.
