Visited with Bubblehead and God.
The afternoon after the night before. For most who were at the 28DL 5th birthday party today was never going to be a fun one. Copious amounts of cider and little sleep was on all of our minds, and the day begun sitting in the middle of a dodgy housing estate mulling over the night before.
"Any idea why I got thrown out of the pub last night?" BH asked. "Well, you stood up on one of the big tables and started shouting at everyone"... "Oh."
Eventually God arrives after sending him to every corner of the Black Country to roads with the same name as the one we were at, we stocked up on caffeine, donned our exploring hats and headed over.
There's not alot to say about this drain. It starts off with box culvert sections, and transcends to brick pipes and metal reinforced tunnels with a few stairways and sidepipes along the way. It's a hike and a half between each feature, but it's great to see the contrast in construction methods along the way.
All shot with fisheye, as my 20mm doesn't offer a wide enough focal length for drains.
On...
... and on.
Oooo, bricks!
One sidepipe led into a large sewer chamber, complete with nuggetfresh, but without a way of getting back up the dropoff we didn't head in for a look.
