Sheffield tunnel

I have read on a local history forum about a tunnel going under the great dam wall between Crookes Valley Park and the Ponderosa.
There is reference to it being explored on another forum but I can't seem to find it there or here??
Anyone done it or know about it? I have vague info on one entrance but can't find the other.

The access manhole has been capped now unfortunately, but the grate at the top of the main shaft can be found in the trees in Crookes Valley Park, if you want to peer down it
