I used to live on Stafford Road in Southsea, just round the corner where Southsea United Reformed Church is based. It has now been converted several flats. I managed to sweet talk my way in to the church when just one builder was undertaking some preliminary measurements.
I would be very interested to see what the interior of some of the new properties look like now and to see if any of the original features of the building have been preserved.
I can't find any info about the church online which is a shame, but I'm very proud to say that I've been in there to see it before it was developed. As such, I'm afraid that I can't post any historical information about the site here. If you know or can find anything, I would be very interested to read.
Absolutely nobody had been in to explore the church and it was free of vandalism - no broken glass, smashed walls or windows, which is something you don't often see in derelict sites situated in built up areas.
There are 53 images in total that I took on this visit - I've added 30 of them here however I've added the rest to this Google Drive folder. Please feel free to browse them.
Thanks for looking.
