The Hospital was a lovely experience, Not one of my firsts but this is the first Report I’ve done on a place, please bare with me aha. St Martin’s Hospital was opened in 1902 and later on become a mental facility in the 1920s, Nearly 3 decades after becoming a mental facility I’m teamed with the NHS.
In the early 1980s, the hospital went into a period of decline and inpatient services significantly reduced. Which caused the Hospital to eventually become to a stop.
Just last year the trust listed the old ward up for housing, Which is a shame. After being inside. We spoke to the security asking on some information on the place, He shortly then explained how the place was placed on hold for demolition, at the current time they are searching the place for asbestos and then going on with the plan of new homing, these are the photos I got whilst inside. Thank you for taking your time on reading my first Post.
