Barrow Bridge Chimney, Bolton
The chimney, now a listed building was originally used by a local bleach works.
Work was done on the chimney by the late Fred Dibnah, who laddered and erected scaffolding at the top, his name plaque can be seen at the bottom of the chimney.
This has to be one of the most rank places ive been inn apart from long rake.
the black gunk pictured below is like photocopy toner , i think its soot and carbon once it gets on you it spreads.Visited this site over 3 weeks ago and ive still got black in the side of my nails...
Anyhows if you want something different to look at its worth a trip ....
