Warminster culvert is about 1150ft in length and runs from George Street Place to the Park. It's been on my radar for a few months now; I've just been waiting for decent enough weather.

I had to go a fair bit upstream to find an access point to the river Were; out to St Deny's and along Dorothy's Walk to get access. I then had the joys of making my way through/past foliage and soft sinky spots of the river bed before getting to the start of the culvert.

For most of the distance it's quite low and I had to crawl along on hands and knees but that just added to the enjoyment for me 😊

Near the start of the culvert there's a side tunnel that I think goes off towards the highstreet area; I'll definitely be going back to explore that, see where it goes.

I found it interesting & enjoyable crawling along and hearing the vehicles above ground.
