1991 Closure at the top of a hill in a rectangular compound, overlooked by several houses. The concrete apron around the shaft has cracked in several places. At some point in its operational life the post has had a new hatch fitted, it has also had non standard brick steps built up to it. The green paint is starting to flake. The post is locked on its original battleship padlocks, so no access underground.
