Firstly, i should probably say Hello. I have posted a few reports on here as a new member that went straight into the non public section. And i have had to earn the right to enter.
Visited by me and two non members.
On our ongoing search for the 'holly grail' of exploration below ground. We decided to go for a look down one of the shafts into the west lung section. We knew it would be very unlikely that we gain access to Spring but thought we maybe able to double back to the MAP factory area...
Access was via a shaft, was a tricky one this, being just a few feet from a live above ground site. But we took are time and made are way down safely. Opone exit we left as we found.
What we did drop into was a relatively small section sealed off everywhere bar one very new looking grey door. Part of it has been used as an asbestos dump and is full of the stuff.
My mate robbed my tripod, as a result all of the pics are from his compact camera, wich to be fair came out ok for a compact.
Last man down
'Fresh' looking grey door.
Cranes, crains and more crains!
Got asbestosis?
Tick tock...
