found myself over in Germany for a few days and managed to fit in a couple of explores, I also realised i was on the wrong side of Germany for the stuff I wanted to do, but I had a friend in Germany that told me about this abandoned cookie factory that was massive. what can i say, this place was huge! we spent 4 hours in there and didn’t see everything as we had another site to check out.
for what my German partner in crime for the day told me the place had been shut for 10 years and moved all production over to the other side of the country for cheaper labor. the factory was almost self sufficient, it had its own mechanics garage for the vans, painter and decorators, joinery shop, a tailors, a full metal working shop to make their own parts for the machines and not forgetting it also had a train station! he says the town used to always smell of warm cookies, which is something he missed.
