Question - Abandoned industrial sites, West Cumbria & Lancashire ?

Hi. New on the site, I'm grateful for this wealth of great places to explore. My daughter & I have a shared interest in abandoned sites where machinery is still visible at close quarters. I do the driving, she does the photography. Do members have any recommendations for exploring in all of Lancashire & also West Cumbria, which I think may have some interesting spots around Workington & Whitehaven. We live in Kendal. Thank you.

Pop over to Florence Iron ore mine. Probably the best thing in Cumbria nowerdays. Your a bit late for much else. Lancashire has much more to offer so have a search on here for the local town names and see what pops up.
