I know theres an air raid shelter in the area, and could this be it? Does anyone think that the manholes could be an enterance or just random manhole covers?
Thanks.

Not sure about that other concrete chunk but I think these type of manhole cover denote electricals or water

I'll take a look, from what ive seen with previously covered air raid shelters in the area these are identical concrete chunks.
Could be, a common would be a place you'd expect one and the concrete could be where some entrances have been capped. It's just those manholes that don't look like access to me but could be wrong there, see if there's any other manholes if it were me

What sort of manholes would I be looking for?

For future reference what style manholes would I be looking for then?

Generally, there's nothing specific but they can sometimes have the literal words "AIR RAID SHELTER" on them even if it is really faded. If you can't find one of these just look for manholes that aren't marked as telecoms or water and go with process of elimination. Below is an example of a faded air raid manhole.

Going to vary a lot to be honest some will be standard and can just be opened with a manhole hook, some will be bolted, some will be welded and some may not even need any tools. Good luck with it!
Thank you very much! Hopefully ill have more shelter posts for the underground section.
