Report - Alderton ROC Post - Suffolk - January 2016

A 1991 Closure in the village of Alderton - next to the RAF Bawdsey ROTOR Bunker .

Someone has chiseled away the whole of the hatch from the main concrete structure. Downstairs was a mess when we arrived but after a 5 minute tidy up it wasn't looking too bad.

It's a shame some items have been taken. The FSM Cam Report by Speed in 2008 shows BPI Baffle plates which are sadly no longer there. There was also a dust shaped silhouette of the exceptionally rare Maroon Training Kit which was issued to certain posts. Only around 50 were ever commissioned. I hope whoever has it looks after it!... Anyway, on with the pics.
