‘A 1.5km culverted section of the Markeaton Brook that runs under Derby city centre before exiting into the river Derwent at the eastern side of the city.’

Fancied a look at this one for a while, no idea why it took me so long to do it. Visited solo on a warm evening in July.

‘A culverted section of the Chaddesden Brook that runs under The Wyvern into the river Derwent.’

Not a lot more to say about it than that!

I spotted this a while back by following blue wiggly lines on an OS map of Derby and then realised it was already a thing, so went to take a look. At the time the river was very swollen and the flow of water too strong so pinned it and came back for a nice relaxing July evening splashing about under Derby.

Oh yes to this. I do like this kind of report. Lovely photos, good lighting.
Who would of thought culverts & sewers could make lovely photos. We are definitely a special breed who find the beauty in these places.
