The power station is located in the commune of La Maxe, in Moselle. It had 2 units at 250MW. The plant began production in the 70's and was officially closed in 2015.
This place was the second station to visit on this particular trip. What really drew us to it was the unusual stripey green and blue turbines! Easily one of the coolest stations I've visited, its so tidy and compact, a real pleasure to look around. Getting inside here was fairly straight forward, although, as usual we had to enable stealth mode a couple of times.
After walking through what seemed like miles, we were greeted with two beastly, sweet-like turbz. And immediately, without a word, cameras and tripods were set up ready to go.

Awesome to La Maxe:
Cheers!
