Went to check this place out today. I had been told security was tight, so I went the back way through into the colliery site. The Headstocks are the tallest in Europe... one way to describe them, fucking huge!!
I think they can be done (they have been by WOTS) but it's a night job. There is lots to see, but I was pressed for time. I shall be back!
