Forgot about posting this one last month, thought i'd throw it up now

Short History:
Coulsdon deep shelter was one of four proposed and built by Surrey Council, the others being at Epsom Downs, Epsom, and Kenley, to house the public during WW2 in case of a nuclear attack.

After the war ended the shelter was occupied by a lens manufacturing company, and later by Volkswagen to house their spares and equipment, some of which still remains today.

The Explore:
Visited with @Minor, this shelter was easy enough to find, and was a very enjoyable explore.

Someones really made a right mess in there! Last time I was there, early this year, there was speakers and a DJ mixer left from some kind of underground rave!
I remember they covered over the original entrance with a massive pile of earth and the remains of what they demolished up at cane hill around the middle of last year.
Then the current way in got opened up...somehow. I always thought it got re-sealed since, but apparently not.
