Doncaster County Court
Doncaster County Court was opened in 1936 and was originally a single-storey building incorporating two court rooms. At some point it had an upstairs bunged on top of the existing building to open up more space for offices and archive storage, meaning the building as it stands today looks much altered from how it appeared in the mid 30s when new.
The courts were permanently closed on 29th of April 2016 when all administrative functions and hearings were transferred to Doncaster Justice Centre.
How it looked in the mid-30s
Currently with an extra floor on top
I really liked the black tiling around the doors, very chic!
Court number 1 was the most complete
Court number 2 was very soggy and empty
A few other areas
That was about it, worth a little look if you're in the area?
