Old tax disc I found in a Nissen hut. Who remembers when they done away with the paper disc, felt strange driving around without one for ages.

That’s a nice find! I love stuff like this.

Yes I remember the change over, I still have the first few discs from my first car. Side note; we still have paper discs here in Ireland.

I felt really naughty when I took it out 😁. I had always ever known tax discs. Do you really have tax discs in Ireland. Is that law or optional.

It’s the law, still have to display the 3 paper discs; Tax,Test,Insurance.

Every now and then the guards have check points set up and they stop every car, peer in the window to check the discs and wave you on through if you’re an honest John and have paid the dues 😂

I have done a few reports on this so will stick a few in here. But the frost was so nice with a hazy mist, that I got up early to go my local car graveyard. My hands were so numb after I finished as it was minus four and forgot my gloves. But it was worth it.
