In the ludgate hill sewer, I'm curious to know what the 4 cleated cables are?
Im guessing they could be fibre optics of some kind. Never seen those markings before. But then I've never been in a sewer before either.

Penalta Colliery, South Wales Coal Field

I didn't get enough pictures from here to warrant a report, but Penalta is still a pretty impressive site, one that like nearby Cefn Coed is out shadowed somewhat understandably by Tower.

We visited early morning to hit the headstocks before the locals where active which was achieved climbing at first light, sadly the baths and power house where inaccessible on our visit.
