According to on line discussionsHuddersfield station has no Platform 3 and no Platform 7. No idea why not.
Platform 3 was a short eastern-facing bay at the end of platform 1. It was the "burton"bay where the large tarmac area is at the east end of platform 1 - "Burton" bay as this is where the Kirkburton branch trains used to go from.
Platform 7 was a very, very short western-facing bay in the 4/8 island. It could never have been long enough to accommodate a passenger service, and I wonder if it was used to park a parcels van for loading/unloading during the day, or a coal wagon to replenish the station fires. Platform 7 is where the 1958 signal box is now.
