The mill was used by a fabric production company. They produced products for companies such as Marks and Spencer’s, but the bank pulled funding and the factory closed in 2006, putting 70-80 people out of work.
Our Visit
Unfortunately it was a fairly brief visit. Had to do abit of gymnastics to gain access. There’s loads of equipment left behind and it seems a few others have been before us although the building isn’t badly vandalised.
We explored the upper floor first, when we made it into the warehouse area we tripped an alarm on a motion sensor so swiftly made an exit.
