Visited with Tripod (thanks for all the driving today 
). This was a big disappointment as it was quite a hike and I know it was open a while back and is really nice inside. Unfortunately there is a fairly new padlock and the hasp looks like it has been re-welded.
The original compound fencing is still standing.
Great views of the Cheviot hills from here though, and its another one off the list.
