Report - High Well School - Barnsley - Oct 2016

History:
High Well School, Originally named Felkirk School.
The school was a specialist school for those with emotional and mental health issues as well as those with behavior problems.
There is two residential blocks for resident students. These where built especially to house these students.
Due to so many students running away in the middle of the night the school stopped boarding students in 2010 and then changed its name to High Well School. In 2015 the school finally closed its doors moving to another site of the former Chequerfield infants school in Pontefract keeping it's original name.

Visit:
We had heard some horror stories about this one with security or grounds keeper. We had a walk around the grounds and did see a chap in a high vis vest that was walking about, then he disappeared into what looked like one of the outer buildings, we didn't see him again after that so decided to go in and have a look around.

lol yeah we did see a guy that resembled secca, but he didnt see us! the place had some motion sensors here and there too in building that was lit up but must not be live as nothing happened! was a nice look round, pretty basic but not utterly trashed like a lot of places.

There was a room set up for live-in security with a bed and all the power was still on when I visited when it first closed. Everything present except the security guard himself!

Visited here past night, a car was parked outside the main entrance doors and a fella on a computer in the main reception office area, no access aside from the main door with the guy behind it! Places boarded up tight, would've loved to have gone in though
