House of Fraser is Manchester's second largest department store, after Debenhams. The store was opened as Watts' in 1832, became Kendal, Milne & Faulkner in 1836, was called Harrods for a period in the 1920s, reverted to Kendals soon after and finally became House of Fraser in 2005.
