Bad luck dude!! Hope you make a full recovery!!
About a month ago, I went to explore a school, ended up slipping while going through a window and cutting my arm really bad on a shard of glass (I won't put a picture up, because you know, GORE). Did some bad damage and I'll be off work for 4-6 months, and won't fully recover for a year!! Madness!!
Even after all this, the itch to go back out there is strong! Exploring really is addictive ha! Like you, I'm researching and planning (making sure there's no glass)!

I think most of us have had our fair share of explore-related injuries, hope you make a full recovery very soon :-)
Ive been relatively lucky, escaped with minor bruising apart from falling through the floor at Terry's choccy factory a few year back and managed to get a nasty cut when a sharp bit of metal from a broken pipe sliced through jeans and into leg. Fortunately though, the pipe broke my fall :-D
