This ROC post is situated right on the side of the road, opposite Kemble airfield. I was informed by the Haulage company who run thier business from the site behind the post, that the post is still owned by the owner of the Airfield.
Surface features are suffering, with the concrete apron cracking, and the step falling away. Also of note, was the shrinkdown pedcap telecoms enclosure which fed the post. This is a reasonably recent closure although obsolete now, and indicates that there was an underground fault on the line serving the post at some point before closure...
