One of a couple of of sites I visited today.
No change from the Subbrit report from 2001 which reports the shaft filled with rubble.
Nuclear Monitoring Posts – Subterranea Britannica
The hatch is off and lying on the ground - the fact that the grass has not grown over it yet would indicate that this has occurred within the last few months or so I would have thought, either that or it's been off for ages but resting on top and whoever removed it last couldn't be bothered to put it back. Right next to a footpath and about 200 yards from a layby on the A41 so I would imagine this one gets a fair bit of passing interest...and vandalism. Judging by the Subbrit pic it wasn't great inside, and I doubt if it would be any better now.
View from the A41 Bridge
Vent shaft being hidden by brambles.
FSM pipe still visible.
Nice retro streetlight I passed on the way back to the car!
