Stumbled across this site today whilst walking the dogs.
There’s 2 buildings on the site- one green tin building- I’m assuming a Village hall and another concrete block shed- an indoor shooting range.
The green tin building has great patina on the outside. Most of the windows are intact and there is little evidence of vandalism although the kitchen is pretty trashed.
The wooden flooring is in great condition and reminded me of being a kid at village parties and dancing up wnd down on the spring boards. It’s nice to see that the local kids have built a skate ramp inside and aren’t fussed on trashing the place unlike other sites I’ve visted.
There’s a store room adjacent to the small kitchen and a grungy looking chemical toilet.
The second building at first looked like a skittles alley. However on closer inspection it would seem that it was an indoor shooting range- old targets, gun rack and an old label on the back of a gas heater.
With the notice in the black board and the old calendar on the table it would seem the last time he building was in use was 2011-2012.
There’s a beautiful old Oak at the entrance to the site which casted an awesome shadow onto the tin building.
Would be good to see the buildings returned to their former glory as well as serving the local community as opposed to houses- as is often the case.
Enjoy the photos...
