I was passing today and took a look at the area. Judging by the SubBrit report, (Nuclear Monitoring Posts – Subterranea Britannica), and my own pictures from a visit around 2001, I would guess the access shaft was just about where the pile of flat bricks are just of right of centre in the foreground.
