Thanks, atleast some of the airframe parts are going to good use, I live near the shackleton at Duxford, unfortunately not currently on display and theres been talk of the airframe been sold on. The props have been cut to suit for long term storage, along with the engines being removed with extensive corrosion being revealed in the interior.After the Long Marsdon aviation museum/collection had sadly closed its doors, the Shackleton MR3, serial number WR985, was among a group of larger airframes that were not relocated
But parts of the Long Marsdon 'Shak' have been used on other UK restorations:
