Derbyshire and the High Peak are hollow
If you hit the ground hard enough pretty much anywhere around there you'll hit a mine or cave

must say I never joined a club but the more I go caving the more I think it’s a good idea for newbies,I was certainly very lucky at some points during my early caving explores which could have gone horribly wrong mainly due to eagerness and inexperience.

You ent the only 1 I did exactly the same , I have no local clubs , the nearest is probably 2 hours so I explored all my younger days in are local mines with no experience taking stupid risks and not knowing anything wouldn’t recommend it.
