Minnamurra Mansion

History
The Minnamurra Mansion (officially Dunmore Equestrian Centre homestead) is a very large run-down and unfinished two-storey building, located near Kiama, NSW, Australia. It was started by Wollongong-based businessman John Kosseris a decade ago but was abandoned when his company went into administration a few years later. Unfortunately I don't know much more about it. There are a number of articles on the mansion, one seen here, but not much more: https://www.news.com.au/unfinished-...s/news-story/3e3d8581ad924562f2af103c153a2532 It shows you photos of the mansion before it was graffitied.

The Explore
It was a bit tricky trying to find the mansion. Chris and I parked at the bottom of the main road, next to a river, next to someone's derelict house. We weren't sure where the mansion was, exactly. Luckily we had some friends who have been there before, who shared a map with the exact spot of the mansion. We took the more difficult route to avoid a grumpy neighbour - we walked along side the river until we reached a hill with bushes. The mansion was just above, so we fought our way through the bush and came right up to the mansion. We were warned that there were grumpy neighbours living next door, who will call the cops on you. Other than that neighbour, there was no security at the mansion. There were no gates. We just walked right up to it and began our exploring. It's another urbex tourism hot spot, and urbexers will even bring their kids here. Unfortunately this place does attract a lot of vandals and we had to be in the annoying presence of some shitheads who were throwing rocks around and destroying the place :( It's pretty cool in that the place has creative value (all the cool graffiti and colours), but if you're in Australia short-term I probably wouldn't come here - there are better urbex places out there! The mansion is a bit of a drive away, so you won't access it via public transport, only by car. I'm also not sure how much longer it will be around as there were plans for a while now to knock it down and rebuild.

Difficulty level: easy to moderate (accounting for actually finding it, then walking a km through the bush).

I went their today and was confronted by the army using it for training. It's still abandoned and apparently the neighbour is still a cranky pants.
