Following on from a recent question - Lead or Rumour info - - Nannau, Dolgellau - Anyone explored? | Leads, Rumours and News... - here are a few photos from my visit seeing as there was no other report of it on the forum. The current Georgian house dates from 1788 and is probably the fifth to stand on the site (or close proximity) of the earliest one. There used to more to it - Pavilion Wings to use the correct terminology - but these were demolished in the late 1960s. The current owner has been served with a notice to make urgent repairs following lead being stolen from the roof in 2020. Looking at photos from 1999 it seems very little has changed inside, for whatever reason renovation work just suddenly stopped. For anyone who's interested there is a website with loads of information on the place which I would recommend including old postcards and paintings - just type nannau.wales in your preferred search engine!
I can't say that this ranks very high in my list of favorite explores, its quite an odd experience inside to be honest. In some areas you literally have to squeeze through a combination of building materials and old furniture.
