Visited with Turk, Dweeb, Raddog and Squirrel911.
We found ourselves in a B&B up the road, in the evening I went for a run around this end of town, checking out some places on the way. This place was open, so we came back in the morning to check it out.
And what a result. I can't believe I only have two pictures from inside. For me, it was secondary, the explore was really good, the most intact theatre I have ever seen. The conversion to a nightclub hasn't wrecked things too much...
Everyone else took far better pictures I'm sure. Here's an external shot...
Note the tower...
...it had to be done
and finally some shots showing some detail from the outside...
After we were all done, we got talking to a guy who worked in there for decades, and hadn't been in since it closed as a theatre. I offered to show him in, just a little bit, and he accepted. He was quite sad when he saw it. If you ever read this: Write a book, please, your knowledge, anecdotes and recall of this place are amazing.
