I like B&W one, more feeling to it and I think the trees look better too! Although the sky looks better in the second one!

what did you do to take the last shot?

Everything was manual and it was a busy night so not sure of the settings, would be something like f5 and between 1/2 and 1 sec exposure, with a flash gun in the hot shoe at 45 degrees with the bounce card out.

I do loves my club photography.

I don't mind doing long star trails in my garden when I can just set the camera up, let the timer run and retreat into the warm to watch tv.

Living right under the end of the transatlantic flight lane does spoil it a bit though.

That is an awesome shot. Shame there's nothing to have in the foreground. Definitely need to get a shot of these star trails.
