The Denbigh mental!
Probably one of the few places where its history post dereliction is just as interesting as pre. The building is probably the most famous abandoned building in the urban exploration scene and has about 100x reports on it, It had the ghosts, the mystery fires, a local nut who filmed every development in the last 12 years, and god bless his soul Elwyn and his dog.
Anyway the copied history for those who are forgetful:
Here is my take on the place anyway.

The North Wales Hospital (locally known as Denbigh Mental or Denbigh Asylum) is a Grade II listed building. Designed by architect Thomas Fulljames, building started in 1844 and completed in 1848. Once a hospital for up to 200 people with psychiatric illnesses, by the early 1900's it housed around 1,500 patients and staff. It is located in Denbigh, Denbighshire, Wales.
Designed by architect Thomas Fulljames to originally accommodate between 60 and 200 patients, the hospital originally had its own farm and gasworks. Planned for closure by Enoch Powell during the 1960's, it was closed in sections from 1991 to 1995.
Here is my take on the place anyway.
