The Lone Shadow here, on a Friday afternoon the Devil Child and myself decided to access this old and derelict working men's club just on the oustskirts of the town centre.
I scoped it out last week for 5 mins as I drove by; looking for access to the building and noticed that the windows were open upstairs.
As we visited today the windows were closed again, which points to the fact that there are people loitering/squatting or whatever.
Access to the building is very easy as it is quite obvious it is being done all the time.
As for the buildng itself, it is very dark, cold, damp and musty.
Most of the ceiling tiles have fallen in due to raining falling through open holes in the roof and making them soggy.
The downstairs is totally trashed, nearly everything has been stolen or wrecked.
as we explored the various rooms upstairs we counted roughly about 5 or 6 makeshift beds scattered all around.
It appears that this place is currently being used as a crack den or something similar.
Every single room had used drug needles, evidence of white powders, loads of old porn mags, musty clothes, bedding etc and stank of puke and piss.
Throughout the hallway there piles of human excrement on the floor, sometimes smeared on the walls.
The place was utterly disgusting and I wouldn't really recommend anybody going here.
As for history, there isn't much to find on google or anywhere really, but mentions the exact date of closing inside. Being May 1st 2009.
