This historic ground dates right back to 1934 when purchased by Sir Joseph Taylor, President of Huddersfield on 1st September 1934, By 1945 speedway began in Bradford and with Odsal Boomerangs proving popular would regularly see attendances of 20,000 or more.
In 1954 the ground saw its biggest attendance when a Challenge Cup replay took place between Halifax and Warrington with an attendance of 102,000.
The stadium served as a home for the Bradford Northern (Now Bradford Bulls) for 85 years before playing their final game at the stadium on the 1st of September 2019 which saw them defeat their play off rivals Sheffield Eagles 30-10 in an emotional goodbye to this historic ground.
What an amazing feeling it was to be able to walk onto a pitch with so much history where I have seen many fierce rivalries between my home team Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls, As soon as I found out this lay derelict and abandoned I knew I just had to go experience it for myself and it did not disappoint, The feeling of standing in the stands reminiscing of all the hard fought battle between many Rugby League teams over the years, Unfortunately the players tunnel had been closed but an unforgettable experience.
