Old Bank Workshops, Slaithwaite, September 2012
Dem Sheets
When I saw the original report on this by host back in July, I knew I'd end up here at some point. I dont know why, but there was something about the place that made me really want to see it.
With a serious lack of inspiration locally and an afternoon to kill I jumped in the car and made the modest 2 hour drive to Huddersfield for a bit of tourism. Tough act to follow with those who have been before me but here are a few of the pictures that I took.
History is rather thin on the ground but the latest occupant of the most interesting part was a cabinet maker, without consciously looking, the latest date I remember seeing was a newspaper from 2006.
Also on the site were a car mechanic and a couple more joiners.
There's something about Me, Huddersfield and rain.
And a couple from the ground floor.
I've got a couple more bits from Hudds to share, but you'll be happy to know that I ran out of time for Newsome Mill
:
Cheers for looking
