From back in june with Alex mucking about in germania.
Apart from exploring we thought we would go and play in a local craft market. This soon became boring so we stole all their bratworst and headed up this pair of stunning industrial dock cranes on the other side of the canal.
Right at the top, of the gooseneck about to go back down to the 'head' I put my hand in a pile of straw, then another, then these fellas chirped up.
Apparently it was feeding time!
They were very inquisitive. So we backed away and left them to it.
the parent birds weren't around so hopefully didn't do any damage.
Unlike in england where any piece of industrial heritage is swifty torn down and replaced with the mediocre, here in deepest industrial coal mining land of germany anything industrial that looks good is kept, done up, and shown as a centre piece. Nice. How it should be IMO.
