The central part of Piercefield House was designed and built in the late 18th Century by Sir John Soane. The two flanking pavilions are of a slightly later date. There's also an extensive stable block as well. The house and much of the estate was sokd to Chepstow racecouse company in 1925. In 2006 the estate came into the possession of the Reuben brothers through their ownership of Northern Racing.
The main house is nowadays nothing more than a shell and not overly exciting. The cellar and tunnel is a lot more interesting I think; definitely more of a highlight.
